DACHSER has been operating in Poland since 2006. Over the years DACHSER Poland has achieved the position of one of the leading players on the domestic logistics market. The business activity of DACHSER in Poland is based on the international transport of general cargo – by road, air and sea, as well as contract logistics. The operator in Poland also provides industry solutions: DACHSER DIY Logistics and DACHSER Chem-Logistics.
The systematic development of DACHSER‘s activity in Poland means that the company regularly extends logistic operations. Currently, there are nine domestic branches, and the area of transshipment terminals in Poland has doubled in the last two years. New investments planned for this year concern the expansion of branches in Wrocław, Stryków and Warsaw. As a result, in 2020, DACHSER Poland will have over 26,000 sq. m. of terminal area and 35,000 sq. m. of contract logistics warehouses.
Continuous development for DACHSER Poland
“DACHSER Poland develops through serving domestic export - especially to Germany, and systematically increases its share in this market, taking over new customers. The basis of our business is an extensive network of connections and branches. This is what makes DACHSER one of the European groupage leader. All Polish branches are integrated with this system, but we are working on increasing the number of daily direct connections, especially to Germany, which leads to a shorter transit times. Quality of service is our main competitive advantage which attracts new customers, including those from important industries such as the DIY or chemicals and cosmetics. Business growth goes along with the development of our branches, hence the new investments”, comments Grzegorz Lichocik, Managing Director European Logistics DACHSER Poland.
In Poland, the operator is also involved in projects supporting CSR activities. This year, DACHSER Poland for the sixth time in a row received the title of Well Seen Company. This is a distinction awarded by well-known Polish association of entrepreneurs to socially responsible companies. Education also remains an important issue, which is why DACHSER Poland have been initiating and participating in projects supporting the training of young logistics specialists – cooperates with universities and is involved in internships, meetings or conferences for students and pupils.
