Warehouse efficiency: DACHSER at LogiMAT 2023

In the warehouse, DACHSER is increasingly using new technologies to continuously optimize processes. These include active exoskeletons that support employees when lifting and carrying heavy loads. Automated guided vehicles (AGVs) also provide relief for staff. They take over routine tasks, such as transporting goods from the receiving area to the transfer zones in a high-bay warehouse. Another focus is on the automation of value-added services and small parts picking. "At LogiMAT, we want to show how flexible and efficient modern contract logistics solutions can be when they take advantage of the new technical possibilities in the warehouse," says Thomas Klare, Head of Corporate Contract Logistics at DACHSER.

In the Americas region, DACHSER is present with five warehouses in the U.S. and in Mexico. With a total warehouse area of 6,800 m2 (73,194 sq. ft), they can accommodate up to 4,400 pallets.

LogiMAT is considered the largest annual intralogistics trade fair in Europe. At the three-day event, visitors get an overview of new technologies, products, systems and solutions for streamlining, process optimization and cost reduction of internal logistics processes.
